Acne Eczema Pimples; Information, Treatment and Removal
For those who develop acne eczema pimples before the onset of adolescence, the convergence of normal teenage blemishes is made especially painful by the convergence of the two skin problems. As if it wasn’t bad enough to have acne, eczema pimples are double-trouble.
As if it weren’t already embarrassing enough to have eczema, which is known to appear on the face, chest and back, those entering their teenage years already suffering from this disorder are right to be concerned about the appearance of acne eczema pimples. Keeping the pimples from scarring or triggering even more severe outbreaks of eczema often requires a trip to the dermatologist.
Eczema-related considerations
The disorder known as eczema, is a somewhat mysterious condition where the skin becomes red, raised, dry and crackly, with bits of scaly skin often flaking off. Often called atopic dermatitis, this most common type of eczema appears first in childhood and adolescence for most. When eczema strikes teenagers or adults, it very rarely goes away completely, though the symptoms can be made far more bearable with the few treatments that are available. While eczema, seems to run in families, the exact mechanism that causes the overproduction is not known.
Eczema is often associated with other inherited disorders such as hay fever and other allergies. While apparently not an allergy itself, the disorder behaves very much like a case of contact dermatitis, such as that which sometimes develops upon contact with base metals and certain chemicals.
Common treatments
A common treatment for eczema, is the use of moisturizers to keep the skin moist. This will often keep the skin from being quite so dry and can reduce itching. Often dermatologists will recommend special creams, but any emollient, even plain old olive oil, will keep the skin from drying out. This can interfere with the treatment for acne.

First and foremost, contact with hands or surfaces that are infected with bacteria should be avoided at all costs. Eczema opens up fissures in the skin that are particularly likely to accommodate a secondary infection such as that caused by staph bacteria. Some modern treatments use antibiotics or light therapy to keep infections at a minimum while treating the underlying eczema condition.
Because of the potential for serious infections to develop, it is a very good idea to consult one or more doctors before deciding upon a course of treatment for acne eczema pimples.
