Male Yeast Infections
Male yeast infections, or penile yeast infections, can occur with anything from zero symptoms to a number of obvious manifestations. This means that you may have a yeast infection without knowing it. In this situation your partner may get into trouble with clear symptoms of yeast infection, rather than you, and her infections may be the only indication you get of the fact that you are infected. Women usually get more obvious manifestations, but even they may have more or less asymptomatic cases. Both partners may get any degree of severity of their symptoms, and when really "angry", the yeast infection is a very annoying experience for both sexes. In males the infection is called a yeast balanitis, which is a candida infection on the glans and preputial skin. It can spread to other areas of the genital organs and its surroundings, and create itch and other symptoms. Are Male Yeast Infections Always Transmitted? No! All people have candida on their skin, but it usually causes no harm in otherwise healthy individuals. If your immune system or your general state of health is compromised, this yeast may start an infection from only slight rubbing or damage to the skin. It actually doesn't take all that much damage to the skin to develop symptoms. Skin against (one's own) skin is enough. A state called intertrigo is often created where your skin comes in continuous contact with other skin areas, and a damp milieu is created; this can lead to an overgrowth of Candida albicans that can start up with no "transmission". It happens that male yeast infections can develop without transmission through sexual intercourse. If this is the case, then try to find the reason, as it is usually a symptom of reduced health in general. Stress and overwork may be contributing factors. Diabetes may be another, and there are several other possible explanation. Basically, however, when skin rubs against skin, mucus membrane against mucus membrane, like it does for example during sexual intercourse, yeast infections may transmit. This is the most usual chain of events. Symptoms of Male Yeast Infections - The inflamed area may be red, tender and itching, but usually not very painful.
- A slightly whitish or yellowish discharge may occur.
- Slight soreness.
- Inflamed in a patchy pattern with scant white areas.
When the immune system is weakened, one may get soreness and patches of red inflamed areas on the glans, and also areas with a white, cheesy layer covering some or all of the inflamed areas, partly or totally.

yeast balanitis
In severe cases the entire penis and even surrounding areas may be red, itching, swollen, and covered with white patches. However, this is rare.
Male yeast infections can produce anything from zero symptoms to severe inflammation and infection, depending on the state of your immune system, your diet, your level of stress and how massive the damage to the mucus membrane and the skin was when you contracted the infection.
Natural Treatement of Male Yeast Infections
Even when only one partner has symptoms, both partners should be treated . . .

- Apply Essential oils morning and evening until symptoms disappear, or until your partner has finished her treatement, if you have no symptoms. Essential oils is the natural treatement of choice for men (and women).
- Avoid sex during the treatement period.
- Both partners may use Candidate, an orally administered herbal remedy that treats yeast infections by strengthening the immune system.
