Pimples on my Butt

People sometimes ask themselves, “How did I get pimples on my butt?” It is a common occurrence and people can get pimples anywhere they have skin and hair.

Whether large or small, no one wants to find a pimple on their bums. Aside from obviously not wanting pimples of any sort, pimples on your buttocks can be especially painful, with that being a common site for boils and carbuncles to appear. When getting rid of pimples on my butt, the number one thing to remember is to do as little as possible and just let them pass.

Infectious agents that cause pimples on my butt

Pimples on my Butt As people spend longer and longer hours sitting, they are more prone to pimples on their buttocks. As people gain weight and flesh is allowed to rest against flesh, the sweat and rubbing can irritate the flesh, allowing bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureuns (or just staph) to get into hair follicles or very small openings in the skin as can be caused by micro-abrasions.

Other causes might be tight pants or underwear that irritate the hairs, allowing them to become infected. Occasionally people with a great deal of hair on their behinds will shave it off, with the same instance of ingrown hair pimples that they can expect on their thighs or neck.

Allergies and rashes

Often a great many small pimples can break out on the buttocks. A common type is heat rash that appears, often when sweat glands are blocked for some reason. This can be avoided by dressing for the weather and to be very careful about exertion in hot weather.

Sometimes the interaction of some article of clothing and the skin on the buttocks can produce an allergic reaction that presents as a rash. These can be very itchy and in the case of botanical agents, can be very itchy until the irritant is removed with a very mild, soapy shower or bath.

Treatment

Nearly always the best treatment, whether you can actually see the pimples or not, is to leave them alone. Do not, under any circumstances, poke at or try and “pop” the pimples, even if they do have a head on them. It will burst when it’s time. If it is a very large pimple, this can be painful. Any discharge should be cleaned up as soon as possible with water and mild soap. An antibiotic salve can be applied to keep any additional infection at bay.
