Skin Problems, Skin Care and Diet
Skin problems can be very irritating and embarrassing. Many people with such conditions will try just about anything to get rid of red rashes, flakes, bumps, scales and swellings that can accompany problems with your skin. However, you may be able to treat your various epidermal ailments with diet and exercise.
Most celebrities have been airbrushed to take blemishes, lines, rashes and other skin problems out. We all expect our skin to look as stunning as the magazine models. However, for the rest of us there may be some help from simple dietary and exercise changes.
Physical Activity
There are many studies now that show the efficacy of physical exercise on reducing stress and clearing up pimples and some forms of eczema. The simple act of sweating can clear the glands. A quick rinse in the shower loosens excess skin cells without the damage from rubbing. In addition to the benefit of releasing toxins that can zap the strength of the immune system to deal with bacteria, increased capillary flow to the skin also has a beneficial effect.
Of course, one has to be careful of picking up the fungus that causes athlete’s foot when established from the showers of gymnasiums. The excess chlorine from swimming pools and hot tubs can irritate the skin.

Diet
One of the most common dietary related skin conditions is the appearance of hives as an allergic reaction to ingested food. It may surprise you that both alcohol and coffee, when used regularly, contribute to the appearance of widened capillaries under the skin – so called spider veins.
There are many fad diets that make claims regarding skin conditions and overall diet. When it comes to face blemishes, a particularly large number of ineffectual diets are regularly advised. Chocolate and french fries don’t give you zits. However, a diet that is deficient in any particular mineral or vitamin can lead to conditions that cause noticeable marks on your skin.
What to Eat
Not only are salads (lettuce doesn’t contain much other than calcium, the greener the better) and other vegetables of nutritive value, but also whole fruits and grains – vitamin pills just aren’t absorbed as well because your body is made to get nutrients out of food. Low levels of vitamins A & E sometimes cause dry skin conditions. Your lips can become damaged from deficiencies in the B vitamins. Zinc is also essential for fighting off skin conditions.
Your best resource on diet is David Camerons e-book, Diet Liberation.
Some people who are susceptible to skin problems and food-allergy eczema usually get a reaction a few hours after they eat milk, eggs or preserved foods. Often people outgrow such food allergies.
