Women Butt Rashes
Women butt rashes are among the most embarrassing ailments that commonly affect the female race and are perhaps the least well known. Thankfully, treatment is almost always fairly simple and requires little but time and airflow.
Nothing says embarrassment to a woman quite like a rash on their rear-ends. However, while rarely serious, it is good to get an idea of what sort of rash you’re dealing with before you can treat it. Even among other women butt rashes are something of a taboo topic, so very little is commonly known about such rashes until you have one and find yourself wonder what the heck you’re going to do about it.
Causes of butt rashes
There are a few very common types of dermatitis that cause rashes to appear on the hindquarters. Perhaps the most common is an episode of the thrush that migrates from the genitals to settle upon the butt. This type of reaction is secondary to the yeast infection but can cause redness and itching all the same. Usually the cure for such a rash is to contain the yeasty discharge and clear up the parent infection. As soon as the irritant is no longer present, the rash should clear up in short order.
Another common cause is contact dermatitis that stems from an allergy to pants, skirts or underwear. For such a rash to concentrate on the butt, often a bit of sweating and sitting is required. In fact, it is a common site of heat rash symptoms.
Complications of pregnancy
Among the many common complaints of pregnancy, a rash on your bottom might be among the most undignified. Sometimes a rash will turn out to be an outbreak of spider veins, like varicose veins that can appear on the legs.
Serious problems
In some rare circumstances, women butt rashes may indicate a very serious problem such as a complication of HIV, scabies or chicken pox (a virus). Shingles
, a type of latent chicken pox, may also attack later in life and leave marks and a burning sensation on the bum. Same is true for herpes simplex virus, or HSV.
These conditions are not common, however if even a mild rash that doesn’t itch can be a problem if it persists for more than a few weeks. See your doctor if you think your rash isn’t going away any time soon.
For most women butt rashes are a minor inconvenience that may take some sleuthing to determine the exact cause of, but are usually easy to get rid of.
